TMJ Problems

Your Temporomandibular joints are the point where the skull connects to your lower jaw. According to the Academy of General Dentistry, 80% of all headaches are caused by muscle tension, which may be related to the bite. Symptoms include: headaches, ringing in the ears, (tinnitus) sore jaw muscles, dizziness, clicking or locking of the jaw & neck. Shoulder or back pain. There are different types of treatment available depending on each person’s condition. We will take a medical and dental history and examine your TMJ and associated muscles. Joint problems can create a specific type of vibration, which can be recorded on our computerized program designed to record any “noise” that the TMJ may be making.
